This morning during Jesus time we reviewed the story of Joseph and his brothers.  We talked about times when we need to be forgiven for a bad choice we have made.  We also talked about times we need to forgive others for bad choices they have made to us.  Because of Jesus, we are forgiven and able to forgive others!

During small group time we recorded our findings whether items are magnetic or not.  This exposes the friends to graphs, naturally brings up discussion of less and more, increases fine motor skills, and increases visual discrimination.  All of these skills are important foundational skills.

We continued to create letters too!

We collaborated in the blocks.

We continued our discussion on slinkys.  We have many questions for further investigation from this week.  They include:

"Are slinkys alive?"
"How far will the slinky roll?"
"Is a slinky a spring?"

These questions will lead our continuing investigation!

Gym time!

Play is vital to children's cognitive development.  In play, children utilize inhibitive control, divided attention, and cognitive flexibility. These are all important components of executive function.  Executive function is essential to children's development.

Some of the friends practiced number concepts with Mrs. Helmkamp as they sang songs together!

One of the fiends worked to make cards for all of the friends!  How kind!

Because it was raining we had the opportunity to dance to some songs on GoNoodle.

During small group time we continued to create and differentiate between shapes.

We created letters.

We worked together in the blocks.

During free choice time many friends played an elaborate, imaginary game.
