During Jesus time this morning we learned the story of Moses leading the Israelites as they crossed the Red Sea.  We learned that "With God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

During small group time we made invitations for when we turn our robot workshop into a robot museum for other classes to come visit.  We are practicing correct pencil grip, correct letter formation, and recognizing letters.

We also worked on graphing.  The friends gathered information to answer the question "Do you like robots?"

This activity increases visual discrimination, pencil grip and pressure, one to one correspondence, and comparing.

We also created robots!  We discussed what they were designed to do.

"Mine is programmed to fold the laundry." (I want that robot at my house! ;) )

"This robot is programmed to shoot cookies to people."

"This robot is a cleaning robot.  These batteries inside help it to charge."

Gym time!

We practiced balancing.

We learned how to crab walk.  Although it was hard, none of the friends gave up!  Persistence (grit) is a skill that will positively impact the children throughout their lives.

We then did small groups in the gym.

Relay

Duck, duck, goose

During morning meeting, we started graphing our weather for the week.  The meteorologist for the week determines the weather, and draws a picture on the graph.  I wonder which weather will have the most at the end of the week?

Our alphabet helper led us as we reviewed the letters!

Because we could not go outside, we had our small group time early so we could have extra free choice time.

During small group time we practiced writing.

We also worked on graphing.

We continued to work on our robots.
