Thank you for all of the wrapping paper donations!  It really enhanced the friends' creations!

In order to wrap the presents, the friends had to write who the present was for and who it was from.  This was a great opportunity to engage in meaningful writing!

Gym time!

During small group time we explored the Christmas slime.  This is a great sensory experience!

We also worked on the count and clip cards. This helps us practice counting, number recognition, and one to one correspondence.  Not to mention the friends' fine motor skills are being strengthened as they manipulate the clothespins.

The friends continued their gift making and name writing too!

During Jesus time we talked about times we have been afraid.  We learned that when the shepherds first saw the angels they may have been scared.  As soon as they learned that Jesus was born, they were excited and ran to see Him. They also couldn't wait to tell everyone else about Jesus' birth.  We can tell others about His birth too!  His birth is important because He was born to die on the cross and rise again!

During indoor recess and free choice time, the friends helped Mrs. Lipsey and me move the classroom around to better fit our needs.  :)

During small group time we sorted Christmas ornaments by multiple properties.

We also worked to build our own stable in the dramatic play center.
(We are taking a pause on the veterinary clinic until after Christmas.)
