Tomorrow we would love to play in the snow!  Please plan to send in boots and snow pants (or a change of pants) for your child.  Thank you!

Happy Birthday Olivia!

We thank God that you are in our class!

Morning free choice

The friends were so excited about the snow today!

Our meteorologist, Nora, was happy to move our weather arrow to snowy!

Watching the snow

Gym time!  We practiced something silly- riding bikes on our backs!  This helps strengthen our core muscles!

We then practiced throwing and catching balls.

Then we ran and played!

During small group time we practiced using positional words with a gingerbread man game.

We then engaged in a Christmas tree provocation.  We put out the materials and let the children use their creative thinking do the rest!

We capitalized on the friends' interest in the snow and used it as a learning experience!  The friends did an observational drawing of the snow.  Observational drawings help the friends learn to "draw what you see."  Learning to "draw what you see" can provide important tools for communication, understanding, and documentation.

During Jesus time, the friends helped me tell the story of the wise men following the star to find Jesus Our Savior!

Indoor recess and second free choice

The friends worked together to fill the straight marble works pieces with marbles.  It took a lot of persistence and hard work!  Great job friends!

During small group time the friends played a bingo game with me that helped them practice positional words.

Independently, we played the roll and Christmas tree game.

With Mrs. Lipsey, the friends played the gingerbread man game that also helps practice positional words.
