We were ready to run this morning!

We are excited to share our school values!

As a class we discussed what our values look like in our classroom.  We specifically discussed responsibility.  What does it look like to be a responsible friend?

"You help others!"

"You clean up your mess."

"You don't scream."

We will continue to talk about this over the next few weeks!

We then went right to work!

The friends noticed that the handrails of our bridge are not stabilized.

"See that block down there?  That's the problem!"

"We need to tape it to the ground so it doesn't move."

"Well I think we need another plastic stick to stabilize it too."

After lunch we went to the gym.  The friends noticed all of the food set up for the Food Pantry tomorrow.

This brought up a discussion of why we are giving food to other people.  We remembered that in our Jesus time story this week there were hungry people who had no food, and Jesus did a miracle and provided food for everyone there.  We have people in our community who are hungry and don't have food.  We can help provide for the needs of others by giving food to those who need it.  We stopped to pray for the people who will attend the food pantry tomorrow.  We prayed for the workers and the recipients of the food.  If you are looking for more information about our food pantry or if you are interested in volunteering with our food pantry, please contact foodpantry@ourshepherd.org.
