This morning our friends needed extra support to use their words to resolve issues.  We discussed the power that words have!  We discussed that in order for us to help each other, we need to know the problem.  In order to know the problem, we need to use our powerful words.  Throughout the day if a friend forgot to use words and rather cried or shouted, I would say a loving reminder that "Words have power."  This was the support that the friends needed to successfully use words to share their thoughts.
Would you discuss the power of using words at home with your child?

We then tried to find the tricky mouse hiding in the house!

After snack, it was time to get to work!

"You put in the nine piece and I will put in the one piece."

"Close your eyes!"

"Little mouse little mouse are you in the circle house?"

The friends worked together to complete the other side of the railing of our bridge.

"We need to be sure the pieces are equal."

"What number is it?"

After work time the friends helped me remember how to write numbers.  Silly me - I forgot!
(This is a fun way for the friends to describe the steps needed to write numbers and practice writing them!)

After lunch we headed outside to play in the snow!
