This morning we read Snowmen at Christmas.  There were some words that we didn't know in the book.  We made a list of those words and reviewed them throughout the day.

Books help expose young children (and older children and adults!) to new vocabulary.  Reading at home with your child is one of the most important things you can do for your child. Read more here.

Gym time!

The friends practiced self-regulation as we only used our feet as we played with the balls.  It was tricky, but with some adult support, the friends did it!

After gym time we went to sing for the Ladies' Circle.  The Ladies Circle is a group of women from our congregation.  They are always excited to see our students!

Free choice time

We read the Snowmen at Christmas book again. We noticed some new words.  We also wondered if snowmen eat snow.  This led to a discussion that increased our critical thinking skills.

"I think snowmen eat snow because anything else would make them melt."

"I think snowmen don't eat snow because they don't come alive."
