Mornings are cold outside this time of year! 

Please don't forget to send a coat, hat, and gloves with your child each day.  

During small group time we practiced writing some words. 

"Let's make a checklist for the words!" 

We continued to make gifts and creations. 

We practiced counting and number recognition with Ms. Marks. 

We also worked together in the blocks! 

One of the goals of free choice play is to deepen and enrich the friends' play.  A few signs of deep, rich play include planning play and assigning roles.  The friends were doing that today! 

"Okay pretend I am mom and the baby was sick." 

"Yeah! And then pretend that I am the doctor and I check the baby." 

"You be the doctor who checks the baby." 

The friends also created a game about "earth power." 

"I have the rainbow earth power!" 

"This tower is going to be a snowman." 

During Jesus time we learned that Jesus was born in a stable!  We learned that a stable is like a barn.  Jesus came to earth so He could save us from our sins through His death and resurrection!
