This morning we practiced our song for Sunday, January 27th at the 10:30 service in Mrs. Croanuer's classroom.

During gym time we played a silly game to increase core strength before we played.

During small group time the friends worked to build a house out of the small blocks. This increases their spatial reasoning as well as persistence!  Furthermore, the friends' shape recognition also increases as they identify the shapes they see in the houses.

The friends continued to increase their spatial reasoning and shape identification as they made houses with pattern blocks.

With Mrs. Lipsey, the friends played Little Mouse to practice identifying shapes.

Free choice time

Some of the friends wanted to measure me.  It took a team!  The friends used their language skills to describe the jobs each person would do to measure me.

One of the friends then documented how tall I am.

Many of the friends wanted to continue to play Little Mouse.  They had a difficult time deciding who would be the leader.  I offered for the friends to make a sign up sheet.  This solves the social conflict as well as provides a meaningful opportunity for writing practice.

Exploring letters

"The babies need a crib!"

"The story of the two polar bears."
