This morning we learned a song to remind us of the true story of Jesus healing the blind man! 

Gym time 

Today Pastor Matt came and helped us learn about cement and masonry.  Pastor Matt's dad is a master mason, and Pastor Matt learned the trade from him.  

We then went outside and compared concrete and mortar.  

Back in the classroom we read a book about building a house.  

Free choice time 

"I am making the frame." 

"Let's be sure it will stay." 

"Look at my foundation!" 

Some of the friends worked to make a frame for a wall walking into the classroom.  They used problem solving skills, cooperation, and writing skills to begin their hard work! 

The friends made a door bell for our house as well.  :) This was a great opportunity to engage in meaningful writing practice. 

The friends enjoy role playing in the little house area.  This area increases language skills as the friends have to describe how the people in the play scenario are feeling and what they are doing.
