"Unto to you is born . . . a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

During Jesus time we discussed how sometimes we are afraid of the dark.  Jesus, the light of the, was born on the darkest day of the year.  When we are in the dark, we can be reminded that Jesus is always with us.  He will never leave us!

Gym time

After gym we had a dance party in the classroom.

During small group time we explored how to make a jungle bell quiet.

"Well if you hold it tight and move it slowly, it is quiet."

"Move it is a line slow and it is quiet."

We also used creative thinking and problem solving as the friends used marshmallows and toothpicks to make a stable for Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus.

Independently, the friends used Legos to make another stable.

Free choice time

"Wow!  There are bubbles in these marbles!"

"Let's make a picture of the outside!"

As the friends created in the Legos, some friends walked around and encouraged each other saying things like:

"Wow!  You're doing great!"

"I like how you built that."

"You're working hard!"

I am so proud of the friends for showing God's love to each other!

Check out this stable a friend created!  Complete with a star at the top, snow falling down, and Mary and Jesus sitting inside.  :)

"I made some stairs!"

During morning meeting we read this song.  We discussed that we can always have one more friend in the game or while we play.  It is a way we can show God's love to each other.

After rest we practiced our songs for our Christmas program.  We also bundled up and went outside.  :)
