Today we celebrated two birthdays!  Happy Birthday Mrs. Dohrman and David!  We are so thankful that God brought you both here to Our Shepherd!

Unto to you is born . . . a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

During Jesus time we discussed how sometimes we are afraid of the dark.  Jesus, the light of the, was born on the darkest day of the year.  When we are in the dark, we can be reminded that Jesus is always with us.  He will never leave us!

During gym time we played a silly game to increase core strength called
Dead Cow, Alive Cow, Sleepy Cow.

We then enjoyed running and playing with hula hoops and frisbees!

As the friends have free time to run, they are learning important skills!  They are learning large motor planning, body awareness, and awareness of others around them.

During small group time we continued to explore how we could make a jungle bell quiet.  We noticed there is something in the bell.  We predicted what is inside the bell and what would happen if we took it out.  We will explore this further tomorrow!

The friends continued to strengthen our fine motor skills, engage in creative thinking, and explore building as they worked to build a stable out of Legos.

The friends added to their marshmallow and toothpick stable  We will continue to add to these throughout the week!  The friends are exploring how to make theirs sturdy that it does not fall down.
