This morning in Jesus time we read a book that re-told the story of Jesus' birth!

It was too cold for us to go outside, so we went to the gym.  :)

We had a severe weather drill while in the gym.  The friends did a great job!

During small group time we practiced differentiating between the shapes.

"This has three points - it is a triangle."

"Why do a diamond and a square both have four sides, but they look different?"

We expanded our creative thinking as we created ornaments and other gifts for loved ones.

The friends again practiced patterning with Mrs. Dohrman.

Can you guess each friends' pattern?

Free choice time

Our knowledge of written print is expanding! The friends are using context clues to figure out what the word cards say.

"I am writing angel.  It starts with an A."

"How do you know that word says angel?"

"I see the picture of it right there."

Some fiends wondered if friends were happy or sad today and decided to create their own graphs.

Creative thinking abounded in our dramatic play today!  What began as acting out a familiar story turned into a deep, rich play scenario!

"I wrote R for Robmade. That's me."

"Oh no!  It fell down!"

After rest time we went outside!
