This morning we acted out the story of Mary and Joseph not finding a place to stay in Bethlehem.  We remembered that finally they found a stable, or barn, in which they could stay.  Jesus loves us so much that He came to earth in a humble form - a baby born in a barn!  He died on the cross and rose again to give us the gift of salvation.

During outside time we had so much fun playing in the snow!

The outdoor classroom had new things for us to explore.  We noticed that our water has frozen!  Many of the friends noticed that leaves were stuck in the ice.  We had a discussion about how the leaves became stuck in the ice.

During small group time, we continued to practice discussing the differences between various shapes.

We used new good junk to engage in creative thinking and make ornaments for our classroom tree.

We continued to practice patterning with Mrs. Dohrman.

Free choice time

Today we completed our top secret project.
(This is why there are not many pictures of free choice time.)

The friends love to write!  They wrote many letters and cards to loved ones.

Look how this creative friend found a way to cover her eyes for a game they were playing!

After afternoon meeting we went for a walk outside.
