During Jesus time we learned the true story of Joshua found in Genesis 37 and 45.  We learned that sometimes families and friends are mean and unfair to each other.  Jesus forgives families and friends  when we treat each other unkindly and feel jealous and hateful.  Jesus leads us to follow His ways! Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we know that God words His good will in our lives.

Outside time

The friends were excited to find a stink bug!  It died with its wings out, so it sparked and interesting discussion.

"See!  The wings make it fly!"

"I knew they could fly."

"Oh!  Mrs. Douglas!  Remember the stink bug we captured and then let it fly away?"

Exploring letters in the outdoor classroom

During small group time we practiced writing numbers for our October calendar.  We practiced counting and number recognition while we wrote!

The friends continued to make bugs out of play doh too.

We worked on our All Saint's Fest Project; we are making a recipe book!

(If you have not bought your tickets for All Saint's Fest, you don't want to miss it!
See the daily email for more information.)

Free choice time

Some of the friends collected information about the stink bug we found.

"Was the stink bug a boy or girl?"

During afternoon meeting we practiced beginning sounds substitutions

Second free choice

We noticed a stink bug on the window!
