Happy Birthday Mrs. Helmkamp!  We love you!!

Today during Jesus time our upper friend, Zippy, came to visit!  He shared with us that he had a busy night last night and forgot to pray.   We are sinners and sometimes we forget that God is always there for us.  However, God NEVER forgets about us!  He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save us!

Outside time

Thank you Mrs. Grace for helping us today while Mrs. Dohrman is at her appointment!

During small group time, the friend practiced recognizing the tricky teens with Mrs. Grace.  They exercised their fine motor skills as the counted out that many Cheerios and put them on pipe cleaners.

Independently, the friends worked on a birthday card for Mrs. Helmkamp!

They also engaged in creative thinking and design skills to make a nest out of good junk!

With me, we continued to web what we know about the birds we chose for the bird show.  The friends who chose to be trainers and birds in the show chose which bird they wanted to train/be in the show.

Free choice time

"I am writing cardinal for the picture over there."

This friend used problem solving skills to figure out how to write cardinal without assistance!

Observing birds

Creating with loose parts

Working together to complete the bird puzzle

Second outside time

Second free choice

Learning to sort by various properties is a foundational math skill!

"I am making our nation's bird - a bald eagle.  He has no hair."

During small group time we practiced recognizing shapes with a fun shape game!

We made a card for Mrs. Hedges for Principal's day!

We are so blessed by Mrs. Hedges and all she does for our school.  If you see her, be sure to thank her for her hard work. :)

With Mr. Anderson the friends made birds out of shapes.

(Thank you Mr. Anderson for helping in our classroom.  Keep Mrs. Lipsey in your prayers as she is doing a special treatment this week.)

With me, the friends continued to work on their bird signs for the bird show!
