This morning we joined with the kindergarten and watched a Veggie Tales movie about Saint Nicholas.  He was a Christian working to share the love of Christ!

We discussed that while Santa, cookies, and presents are all fun parts of Christmas, the reason we celebrate is because the birth of our Savior!

Gym time!

We had a fire drill during gym time.  The friends did a great job!

Free choice time

We had a discussion about the antlers in the science area.

"Are these from reindeer?"

"I don't think so because they are small."

"Well maybe it was a small one."

"No reindeer are big."

Discussions such as these provide a platform for learning.  We can now explore more about reindeer to help answer our questions.

Look how we have learned many valuable social skills already!

"First you have a turn and then it's my turn."

Planning play together

During morning meeting each friend had a turn to use our "special marker" to practice writing!

Indoor gym!

We had a special visitor, Blue, the Colt's mascot!

Blue and his friends led a fun rally and discussed eating healthy food and not bullying.

We played fun games!

Even the teachers joined in on the fun!

Free choice time

We continued our discussion about the antlers and bones.  The friends chose two animals that they thought the bones might belong to.  We discussed why they thought what they did.  Then we discussed that we can have different opinions and still be friends.
