This morning we began our day reading and singing along with this book again!  We had so much fun singing this song together!  What a great way to practice rhyming, counting, and composing and decomposing numbers with our hands.  

After snack we worked with our third grade buddies to do an observational drawing of the flowers outside.  We can't wait for our joint field trip on Thursday! 

On the way in we saw Mr. Hedges.  We was riding this piece of equipment! The friends predicted that he was working on the lights.  We asked him, and our friends' prediction was correct! 

During work time the friends observed the seed sprouts! They documented their observations. 

"Let's measure the sprouts!" 

Our friends independently used their knowledge of measurement tools to solve the problem.  Their curiosity prompted even more learning! 

We also ordered numbers 1-10! 

Some friends chose to draw the bouquet of flowers. 

Some friends chose to practice tracing letters with our alphabet book. 

"These are the flowers." 

Our friends worked together in the blocks using the conflict resolution strategies that they have learned this year!

During Jesus time we remembered our special job to do!  A job that Jesus himself gives us!  We are to spread His love to make new disciples!
