This morning the friends helped me read this book!

Books like this are great for our friends.  They have what we call "predictable text."  Books with predictable text contain repetitive phrases that appear in the book over and over again.  The purpose of predictable texts provide a story pattern that help our friends develop rhythm and read the illustrations (context clues).

Pastor Matt came and visited to answer some of our questions about faith.

Every day, we begin our day with a call and response that goes like this:

Leader: We begin our day in the name of God the Father

Response: :Who created us!

Leader: God the Son

Response: Who died for us

Leader: And  God the Holy Spirit

Response: Who comforts us

All year long the friends have been learning the unique role of each person in the Trinity.  Today, one of the friends asked:

"Why does the Holy Spirit comfort us?"

Pastor Matt came to visit to answer that question and a few other of our questions.

After snack we went out to the hill.

Then it was work time!
