Happy Monday!

The friends were excited to play together and create this morning!

Whoa!  Look at our spider with the magnifying glass!

Thank you to Olivia for bringing in yummy treats for us!  We love learning about spiders, and we love eating spider cookies too!  :)

Soon after we went outside, we had a fire drill.  We practiced staying in our line and remaining quiet for the drill.

After the fire drill, we went back to the playground to play!

Back in the classroom we noticed that God provided a perfect spider web in our window for us to observe.

It's hard to see in the picture, but the children enjoyed observing it!

The children then did an observational drawing of the spider web during small group time.  They noticed the circle in the middle and all of the lines that connect together.

With Mrs,. Zwettler, we worked on a special art piece that the whole school is going to collaborate to do.  It will look beautiful when it is finished.

With me, the friends played a "Clap It Out" game to practice syllables.

During Jesus time we learned the story of Adam and Eve falling into sin.  We learned that God promised to send a Savior, and He did!  He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to save us from our sins!

After goodbye/lunch and quiet time, we went back outside to play.  We found so many spiders on the playground!  The children started calling them "mulch spiders."

We found one spider to take back to the classroom.  We noticed that this spider was missing three legs!

Second free choice time was filled with cooperative play.  :)

During second small group time, we observed the spiders and created with playdough.  Many of the friends created spiders with playdough.

With Mrs. Zwettler, we worked on writing and pencil grip.
