I pray that you all had a restful weekend!

This morning we played a matching emotion game.  This helps us increase visual discrimination as well as open up a discussion about emotions.

Outside time

We practiced finding our name on a checklist and marking it off.  We use this checklist during small group time.  After the friends work in a small group, they check their name off of the list.  This increases executive function skills as they friends work to do a job and mark it off a list.

With me, the friends practiced sorting different colors of popcorn seeds.  They strengthened their fine motor skills as they picked up one popcorn seed at a time.

"I put all the golden ones in this part and the dark ones in this one."

The friends practiced making their names and then checked their names off of the list.

During free choice time the friends played the matching game independently.

They also created their own game!
