This morning the friends were motivated to see how much bigger our plants have grown! 

This intrinsic motivation to learn and apply skills and knowledge will benefit the children throughout their lives! 

"I am making another ruler for us." 

We explored spatial relationships as the friends made plants with pattern blocks. 

The friends worked to create a representation of a plant.  This provides an open-ended opportunity for us to see what the children know and understand about plants and how we can address misconceptions. 

We continued to investigate our plants and ask questions for our visiting experts tomorrow!
