During Jesus time this morning we reviewed the story of Peter in jail.  We learned that Jesus always listens to our prayers!  We discussed various times that we could pray to God.  Then, the children who want to prayed out loud one at a time. We praise God that He always listens to our prayers!

During small group time we continued to play a game where the friends touch their ears when they hear two words that begin the same. Learning the beginning sounds of words is an important phonemic awareness skill.

The friends continued to problem solve, create, and increase persistence as they built with craft sticks and cups.

With Mrs. Zwettler the friends continued to play Roll, Say, Take.  This increases the ability to subitize, recognize numbers, count, and one to one correspondence.  (These are all important foundational math skills.)

Outside time

Free choice time

During morning meeting we practiced letter recognition with the alligator game.

We also discussed less, more, and equal.  We problem solved how we could make these two lines equal.

Second free choice

Second outside time

During small group time we wrote in our journals.

We also responded to various music with our coloring.

With Mrs. Lipsey we played Roll, Say, Take again.
