Wow!  The friends worked hard to build a very tall marble tower!

The friends also used creative thinking to create hand puppets with our envelopes.

One thing I don't typically talk about in the blog is our morning meeting time.  We have our morning meeting every day.

Morning meeting is a time for us to intentionally practice many skills including.  Jordan is the attendance helper this week; he helped count to see how many friends are at school today.

Kennedy helped us review our schedule for the day.  This lays the foundation for future learning about time.

Karissa helped us recognize our letters and their sounds.

We added another 3-Dimensional shape to our collection- the sphere!

Outside time

During small group time, Mrs. Zwettler took her group to hunt for 3-Dimensional shapes in real life.  This is what we found!

Our second group continued to explore and create with the pattern blocks.  Their creations are becoming more intricate!

The third group had free choice in the classroom while I worked with children individually to complete formal assessments.

(There are no pictures of the other two groups as Mrs. Zwetter had the iPad.)

During Jesus time, we discussed that our life is a gift from God!  We read John 10:10 where Jesus says, "I have come that you may have life and have it to the fullest!"  Our life is special; and we praise God for the gift of life!

Outside time on the big playground!

After outside time, we stopped int he gym to do some dancing with our chapel buddies!

Small group time

The friends created with pattern blocks.

They then searched for 3-D shapes in the classroom.

Free choice play was the third group.  (I again worked with children individually on formal assessments.)
